Sworn translations are official translations accepted by public bodies for a wide range of administrative procedures. They are a special type of translation with full legal validity.
Jurada y Jurídica is the practice of Ana Belén Barrio Fernández, sworn translator for English no. 11348, appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. Ana is also a Chartered Linguist, a status conferred by the British Chartered Institute of Linguists. A history graduate of the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) with an MA in Translation from the University of Salford (UK), she also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (England and Wales) from The College of Legal Practice, which she has complemented with a programme in Spanish Civil Law certified by the Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes.
